Occupational Health and Safety Management System
ISO 45001:2018 is one of the revised occupational health and safety management systems that provides a framework for organizations to improve worker safety, reduce workplace risks and create better and safer conditions of work worldwide.
This new standard applies to any organization regardless of its size, activity and nature.
ISO 45001:2018 will follow the Annex SL structure that has been implemented in other recently updated ISO management system standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
The standard is available from 12 March 2018. ISO 45001:2018 will replace OHSAS 18001 (BS) with a three-year transition period for organizations already certified to BS OHSAS 18001, ending on 30 September 2021.
